How can I train my dobie not to take treats as bribes from trespassers?

I would imagine it could be done.. could be a very long training process..

I heard a story one time how a guy trained his guard dog to only take food
given to him from a 'left hand'.
because the majority of people are right handed..

That's a good idea... Only using your left hand. My dog's issue is that he gets really aggressive when some comes to the door, but when I open the door, he is so friendly he will show everyone where the jewelry is, lol. How would you go about making sure that your dog would fully protect you from anyone trying to break in?
